Aeva Gaymon-Doomes, M.D.

Board Certified Physician, Psychiatry

Aeva Gaymon-Doomes, M.D., is a board certified physician who specializes in psychiatry. Dr. Doomes completed both a residency program in adult psychiatry and a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Maryland and the world-renowned Sheppard Pratt Hospital.

In addition to her private practice, she is a board member of the Washington Psychiatric Society, and teaches resident physicians in the Georgetown Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship. She has served as the resident representative to the Joint Reference Committee of the American Psychiatric Association and is an active member of both the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and the National Medical Association.

In 2008, Dr. Doomes was awarded both the SAMHSA and Janssen American Psychiatric Association fellowships. With a strong interest in writing and research, she has also published book chapters on post-partum depression, and developed a screening scale to better identify symptoms of depression in women.
