Marietta Davis

Kimberly Mitchem-Rasmussem

Director, Political Institute for Women

Kimberly Mitchem-Rasmussem is Director of the Political Institute for Women. In this role, she oversees an organization that trains women to run for elected office and pursue careers in politics. Prior to taking the helm of the Political Institute for Women, Rasmussen served as Regional Director for the White House Project’s southeast region.

Rasmussem is also the owner and former managing broker of Mitchem Rasmussem & Associates, a real estate brokerage specializing in default servicing. She founded Mitchem Rasmussem & Associates in 2001 after working as paralegal and corporate director of contracts in Atlanta, Ga.

Rasmussem is active in non-profit service as a board member or trustee of the Boys and Girls Club of Metro Atlanta, Hammond House Museum and the U.S. Sports Film Festival. Additionally, Rasmussem serves as a member of the investment committee of the Atlanta Women’s Foundation and programs committee of the High Museum’s Art Partners. As a businesswoman she is an active member of the Buckhead Business Association, Atlanta Board of Realtors, Georgia Association of Realtors, Women’s Council of Realtors, Atlanta Chamber of Commerce and Urban Land Institute.

Rasmussem earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Oglethorpe University. She currently resides in Atlanta with her husband and two young children.
