TV Executive and Producer

Linda Torrence is a former executive of CBS and FOX television affiliates, Rogers Cable systems of Canada and “Girlfriends Health Guide” for Everyday Women.  Previously, she hosted a cable talk show called, “Women in Focus,” served as producer of “The Georgia Gang,” Georgia’s most popular political talk show and the community service program for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Annual Commemorative Service.

She is a recognized and respected community leader serving as a director on various boards including: the Chambers of Commerce for the City of Atlanta and DeKalb County, American Heart Association, Grady Health System Hospital Foundation, Dean’s Council for Emory University Rollins School of Public Health, Georgia Women’s Institute, Sindab Breast Cancer Research Project at the Winship Cancer Institute at Emory (NIH) and several others.

Torrence, a graduate of Arkansas Baptist College, is the recipient of several awards and honors including the Georgia Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics “Friend of Children” award and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) for the America’s Youth Passport.

She has been recognized as one of Atlanta’s most influential African-American women by the Atlanta Business League and profiled in several publications including Southern Flair, Atlanta Woman, Who’s Who in Black Atlanta and Girlfriends Health Guide.
