Tomika DePriest

Executive Director of Communications,
Spelman College

Tomika DePriest is the executive director of communications at Spelman College. She is a member of the president’s senior staff and responsible for visual identity/brand management, internal communications, publications, media relations, the College’s website and social media. She works with the campus community to market and promote Spelman College as an institution with an excellent track record of producing extraordinary leaders, change agents and community servants who go on to make a positive difference in the world.

An award-winning professional, DePriest has been recognized as a “PR People All Star” and PR Executive of the Year in Education” by PR News. Bulldog Reporter, International Association of Business Communicators, Atlanta Association of Black Journalists and the Atlanta Association of Media Women has also recognized her for excellence in journalism and communications. In 1998, DePriest received the Spelman College Alumnae Achievement Award.
