Welcome to the Spelman College Leadership and Women of Color Conference web site.  We are pleased that you are considering attending the premier leadership conference for women of color.

With the theme, “Reset: Sustaining Women for 21st Century Leadership,” this year’s conference will explore the importance of personal and professional sustainability for women leading change.  Renowned and diverse thought leaders, from both the private and public sectors, will offer best practice leadership models to help women, particularly women of color, sustain and succeed in today’s new global society.  Together, we will discuss:

  • What are the critical factors necessary to achieve personal and professional sustainability?
  • How do women leaders come to terms with the notion that “taking care of self is okay?”
  • What steps must women take to "reset" in order to sustain themselves, meaningful careers, strong families, friendships and their communities?
  • What are the tangible outcomes achieved from women "resetting" to sustain self?

This year’s outstanding program promises to offer opportunities to gain a fresh perspective on self-sustainability, learn practical ideas to better manage work/life balance, sharpen your leadership skills and network with some of today’s most brilliant multicultural leaders.  You will leave with new viewpoints, insightful knowledge, actionable principles and renewed inspiration.  We hope you will join us for this life-changing event.

Best regards,
